Fogg's Automotive was founded in Scotia, NY in 1955 by Charles Fogg Jr. as a two-bay service station, and still serves the village from 642 Saratoga Rd — a few minutes north on Route 50, which begins at Mohawk Avenue in Scotia. Every used vehicle is reconditioned to a 151-point standard with a free CARFAX report, and qualifying vehicles under 85,000 miles carry a lifetime engine limited warranty. Fogg's is a technician-owned dealership, family-run since 1955: what we're willing to put on the lot is judged against our own service shop's standard, not against what's easy to sell — which is why every car here is reconditioned before it's listed.
Route 50 starts in Scotia, at Mohawk Avenue a couple of blocks north of the river, and becomes Saratoga Road. Follow it north and you reach us. One road, no highway, no river crossing.

We started in Scotia in 1955 — two bays, one Fogg, mostly service work. The dealership grew north up Route 50 into the building we occupy now, but the village is where the business learned how it wanted to operate, and plenty of the families we sell to today are the second generation of their household to buy here.
That history is the reason we are stubborn about what we will and will not put on the lot. A dealership that intends to be here in another seventy years cannot afford the short-term math of selling someone a cheap car that fails in April.
Scotia is a village of a little over seven thousand people, which means most of our customers here are repeat or referred, and most of them want the same two things: something that will start in February, and someone local to call when it doesn't. All-wheel drive and a real service department cover both.
About three miles. Route 50 begins at Mohawk Avenue in Scotia and runs north to our lot at 642 Saratoga Rd — roughly a five minute drive with no highway.
We were founded in Scotia in 1955 by Charles Fogg Jr. as a two-bay service station. The dealership is now a 28,000 square foot sales and service center a few minutes north on Route 50, in Glenville.
Both. Service has been part of this business since 1955 — we run 25 lifts and service all makes and models, including fleet customers.
