Service & fleet center
Twenty-five lifts across 28,000 square feet, running fleet contracts that don't tolerate a two-week wait. All makes and models, whether or not you bought here.
Fogg's Automotive services all makes and models at 642 Saratoga Rd in Scotia, NY, minutes from Schenectady — including New York State Inspections, oil and routine maintenance, brakes, tires, alignment, engine and drivetrain repair, and electrical diagnostics. The shop runs 25 lifts across 28,000 square feet and handles fleet contracts including the United States Postal Service. You do not need to have bought your vehicle here. Service hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Everything from an annual inspection to work most quick-lube shops send down the road.
Annual safety and emissions inspection, done while you wait. Required every twelve months on every registered vehicle in the state.
Oil and filter, fluids, filters, rotations and the scheduled services that keep a warranty valid and a car boring.
Pads, rotors, lines and full tire service including mounting, balancing and alignment. The systems that matter most in a Capital Region winter.
Diagnostics, timing, cooling, transmission and driveline work. The heavy jobs most quick-lube shops send somewhere else.
Check-engine diagnosis, batteries, charging systems, sensors and the electronics that make modern cars frustrating to guess at.
Scheduled and emergency service for commercial fleets, including the United States Postal Service and local businesses.
Why the size matters to you
Fleet customers are unforgiving in a useful way: a vehicle that is not moving is costing them money, so they only stay with a shop that turns work around. Holding contracts like the United States Postal Service means we are built for throughput — and retail customers get the benefit of a shop sized for that standard.
It is also why the sales side can promise what it promises. Reconditioning every retail vehicle to a 151-point standard is only realistic if you own the capacity to do it. We do it here, with our technicians, on our lifts.
The heavy end
Most shops in the area are set up for maintenance: oil, tires, brakes, an inspection. That is a perfectly good business, and it is most of what any car needs. But when the job is a timing chain, a transmission, a head gasket or an intermittent electrical fault that needs a technician to actually chase it, the vehicle usually gets referred on — because the bay is needed for four oil changes and the diagnosis is a gamble.
We are not in that position. With 25 lifts, a bay tied up for a day is not an emergency, and our technicians are the same people who recondition every vehicle we retail to a 151-point standard. That is not marketing — it is the practical reason you can bring a hard job here and get an answer rather than a referral.

“Drives really nice and Shelby was very nice as well.”
I am happy with the vehicle we got. Drives really nice and Shelby was very nice as well. She did everything she could do to help us get into a vehicle. And she was very sweet and patient to get things done for us. I couldn't be happier. Thanks again.

Frogg's is a great Automotive place they help me so much to buy a vehicle that is reliable to take my sister to Doctor appointment and gave me a good trade in payment very friendly and very professional feeling like family.
“Frank and Denise were very attentive, kind, and understanding while dealing with our unique set of circumstances.”
I would recommend this place. Everyone is clearly out to try their best for whomever walks through their doors, and I appreciated that and the straightforward honesty. Also, Jerry was a very polite texting AI bot; a little creepy that he asked for my zodiac sign and the bars I freqent, but he might have been glitching at the time.
“I went to buy a car i need it i worked with Shelby and the experience with her was amazing.”
she was very professional detailed and she give more than 100%. The rest of the staff was amazing too and very helpful if you need a car i recommend to work with this amazing team.
Yes. We service all makes and models for retail and fleet customers, whether the vehicle came from us or not. You do not need to have bought a car here to book an appointment.
Yes. We perform the annual New York State safety and emissions inspection. Every registered vehicle in New York needs one every twelve months, and it can usually be done while you wait — call (518) 348-7764 to check the day's availability.
The facility is 28,000 square feet including the mezzanine, with 25 lifts. That is unusual for a used car dealership — it is closer to a standalone service operation, which is why we can take fleet contracts and still turn retail work around quickly.
Yes. We run fleet service for the United States Postal Service and a number of local businesses. Fleet work is scheduled around your operating hours wherever possible, because a vehicle sitting in our bay is not earning anything for you.
Yes, and they are the same technicians who recondition every vehicle we retail to our 151-point standard. The car you buy here and the car you bring here go through the same hands.
The lifetime engine limited warranty requires that scheduled maintenance is performed and documented — it does not require that we be the ones to do it. Keep your receipts. That said, having the work done here means the records are already on file when a claim comes up.
Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. All makes and models, whether or not you bought here.
